Inholland is in the top 5 universities of applied sciences. Students at Inholland combine theoretical knowledge with practical learning through work on real-life projects.
Gas Turbine minor:
Inholland University of Applied Sciences is funded by SGO in order to promote research and education in the area of gas turbines, in particular a minor in gas turbines. The minor is part of the 4th (final) year of higher vocational training of the Aviation Engineering degree in which students receive lectures about gas turbines, attend guest lectures and visit companies, and carry out projects at a company that is a member of SGO. The aim of the minor is to supply industry with highly skilled higher vocational students concentrating on gas turbine technology and its applications. In addition, the minor offers companies the possibility of training its own employees and expanding their knowledge.
The gas turbines minor bridges the gap between Dutch industry and the university of applied sciences by exchanging knowledge, carrying out joint projects and training future professionals.
SGO partners invest in knowledge transfer in the field of Gas turbine Technology. In cooperation with Hogeschool Inholland, Hogeschool Den Haag, Hogeschool van Amsterdam and SGO participants a HBO minor Gas turbine Technology has been developed. Employees of SGO partners have the opportunity to participate in HBO minor modules for free.
If you are interested in participating please contact Mr. Philip Weersma of Hogeschool Inholland,
Projects HBO minor:
Every year 12 practical company projects are required for our minor Gas Turbine students. Six groups of 4 to 5 students are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, during 7 weeks, max. 10 weeks. The study load is expressed in European Credits (EC), each EC stands for 28 hours. Every student spends approximately 5 EC. This means that the company can offer a project of 560 (4 students) to 700 hours (5 students).
